How we use the information we collect
To provide services
To provide our services it is necessary to collect simple personal information (first name, last name, e-mail address, job title and company) so that we can provide secure access to our systems and communicate with you efficiently and accurately.
This operational requirement is our key lawful basis for processing your data.
Sales, communications and customer support
We collect your personal information (first name, last name, e-mail address, job title, company) to allow us to correctly and efficiently communicate with you regarding your order and installation, or to provide operational and technical support regarding the services we provide you.
To enable us to better understand your needs we may link your personal information to your project, company, colleagues and any previous communication or participation in our marketing activity. This information may also be cross referenced with data on our customer relationship management (CRM) software and marketing platform, to allow us to better advise and tailor solutions for you.
With your consent, we may also record your anonymised phone number and calls with our sales team, to allow us to improve our training, provide monitoring and better understand our customers’ needs. Anonymising your phone number, involves a technical technique called ‘hashing’, which means that we mask your number in such a way that our sales staff cannot tell what your phone number is, only that the same number may have called before.
Research and development
Collection of data regarding the device you use (unique computer IP address, geographical location, browser, operating system, device type and versions) allows us to conduct visitor analysis, development testing and research. It also aids troubleshooting of website issues and helps to ensure our website is presented in the most suitable format for you.
Some information is also used to measure or understand the effectiveness of advertising we employ to drive traffic to our site.
Marketing, promotion and engagement
Should you explicitly agree that we may do so, we may use your details to contact you regarding future products, content or services we believe you may be interested in.
We may also use your data to better provide enhanced services, such as personalised content, including auto-filling forms with details you have previously supplied us.
We also record interactions with our connected social accounts on our marketing platform in order to best manage the engagement with our followers.
Security
We collect and store access information, including your unique computer IP address, to protect against and allow for the investigation of malicious access to our systems.
Additionally, unique computer IP address, first name, last name, e-mail address and company, if available, of logged-in users downloading videos and images from lobstervision.tv are recorded and stored securely, so as to aid the investigation of unauthorised access and use of the site or system.
How we share the information we collect
Your personal information will be used for the purposes detailed above. Sometimes to accomplish these aims we may share your personal information:
- With any of our employees, officers, insurers, professional advisers, agents, suppliers or subcontractors insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this policy.
- If we believe such disclosure is necessary to comply with relevant law;
- If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss in connection with a suspected or actual illegal activity;
- In reorganisation or sale of our company or assets, in compliance with applicable law;
- With third-party service providers to allow us to process the data we hold. These providers may supply website and application development, hosting, maintenance, backup, storage, virtual infrastructure, payment processing, analysis and other services for us. For each provider we will ensure and document their compliance with appropriate UK privacy law, including GDPR.
We will never sell your personal information.
How we store and secure the information we collect
We have taken appropriate technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information stored on our systems.
We use Identity and Access Management to restrict access to our systems, adhering to industry best practices, including specific users for each function (with least privilege), multi-factor authentication and regular reviews of our security practices.
We use data storage providers who employ industry standard methods to secure access to data. These methods are compliant with various standards including:
- CISPE Code of Conduct
- ISO 27017
- ISO 27018

You also have the right to request that we delete any or all personal data Lobster Pictures Ltd holds on you at any time. The only reason we would not carry out this request is if it would result in us being in breach of other legal or regulatory obligations we have, or if we believe we have a lawful basis to continue to do so, but we would always inform you at the time were this the case.
All requests for information may be made free of charge.
Marketing communications
You can always opt-out of our use of your information for marketing purposes.
