Meet the team

Robbie Allen
Founder and Managing Director
Robbie invented and built the first Lobster Pot and Lobster Vision, and has grown the company into the global business it is today.
In the early days, Robbie installed systems all over the world. He is currently leading the efforts to bring the advantages of 4D BIM and other integrations to clients, working with senior stakeholders at Shell, Mace and many other innovative partners.
Robbie is the joint inventor of the 'Crab' control and monitoring system, GB patent 2499637.

Harry Coelho
Senior Support Technician
Harry's responsibilities are to keep your cameras running smoothly, from the day of the install to the end of your project.
He has a first class honours degree in Media Technology and is a keen Photographer in his spare time.

Joe Horton
Senior Technician
Joe is one of the pillars that hold up Lobster Pictures (literally, standing at 6'7"). A hard-working and focused member of the team, Joe installs and derigs cameras safely and professionally all over Europe. He holds CSCS, IPAF and working at height qualifications.
Joe is also an accomplished rugby player, plying his trade as a centre for Chipping Sodbury RFC.

Hannah Johns
Finance Manager
Hannah is responsible for providing all of our day to day finance support - she looks after sales and purchase ledger along with all of our credit control.
She's also a talented violinist and manager of her band, the Leylines

Rick Hewes
Technical Lead
Rick is our Technical Lead, dedicated to bringing the latest technology and innovation to the Lobster Vision platform. With over 20 years of software development experience in various industry sectors, he is well placed to mix a modern management style with robust development practices.
A keen cyclist and runner he is often found out and about the Wiltshire countryside or preferably the South of France.

Kelly McKeown
Operations Director
Kelly is our Operations Director, ensuring that our clients are well-served and that the operational day-to-day installation, maintenance and repair of our Lobster Pots happens flawlessly, safely and to the highest standards.
She is responsible for our team of Technicians and draws on her management skills as Lobster Pictures' Wellbeing Champion.
With fifteen years in television production and post-production behind her and senior-level experience in managing projects for our clients, Kelly brings a wealth of strategic business expertise to this position.

Tony O’Donoghue
Senior Technician
Tony has installed and de-rigged cameras all over the UK. He has a background in workshop fabrication and environmental management and came to us with most of the certifications and training required to work on all our construction sites. Outside work, he’s a keen football supporter and player.

Barney Livingston
System Administrator
Barney develops and optimises our network tools. He’s currently building a new low-power, scalable hardware platform for Lobster Pot cameras, and working on great new tools to allow us to control cameras remotely.
Barney has a first class degree in Computer Science and is co-author of three published papers on Peer-to-Peer network simulators. He also has many years’ experience designing and developing networks and systems.

Luke Slater
Senior Technician
Luke is a born craftsman. He builds Lobster Pot time lapse cameras and bracketry of all types, and has carried out installations across the UK, Europe, Asia and the USA. He’s also a talented photographer and holds a first-class degree in Fine Art. Outside work, he designs and builds his own boats.
Luke has IPAF, CSCS, PASMA tower training and full offshore certification. He is also an SSSTS qualified site safety supervisor.

Andrew Rodgers
Workshop Manager
Andrew runs our busy workshop - ensuring every Lobster Pot is built and tested to the same exacting standards that makes them the best time lapse cameras in the world!
He has a BEng in Communications Systems Engineering and ten years' experience in electronics production environments.

Scarlett Oliver
Senior Account Manager
Scarlett is the first point of call at Lobster Pictures, providing you with a quote that is tailored to your project. She is responsible for managing long-term client relationships to ensure you receive a valued service.
Scarlett is multi-talented with a Law Degree and personal trainer qualifications, and out of work, she enjoys spending her time exercising.

Melissa Wyman
Technician
Melissa is an integral part of the installation and support teams. She has a first-class degree in Design Photography, and all the training required to work safely on sites. Prior to Lobster Pictures, she worked as a field engineer in the oil industry in Canada - so British winters are mild to her! She has dual Canadian and UK nationality and loves ice hockey.

Ellis Watts
Media Producer
Ellis produces your final time lapse film and can help get those important moments captured on video. He has previously worked in television and has wide-variety of experience in making videos. If you're looking to enhance your films with drone footage, staff interviews or animation, Ellis is your man.

Marcus Tanner
Senior Technician
Marcus is a fantastically dedicated, skilled and safe technician. He's installed and de-rigged Lobster Pots for us all over the UK. He has CSCS and IPAF certifications and also a SSTS Site Supervisor.
Outside work, he plays rugby and football and coaches a cricket team.

Ru Knight
Operations and Logistics Manager
Ru is a highly organised and diligent Operations and Logistics Manager - helping make sure that our operations run as smoothly as possible, while also managing the thousand things that need doing to keep the office shipshape and Bristol fashion. She regularly moves mountains (and cameras, and masts and more) to make sure that your Lobster Vision experience is happening when you need it. She has a degree in Fashion and Textile Design, and has recently acquired a puppy called Uma.

Christie Heywood
Account Manager
Christie is a key part of the Account Management and Sales Team - working with clients such as ISG, Glencar and others in the UK and Europe to ensure that you get the best solution for your project. Her first-class degree in marketing means she understands the benefits of our service as a great PR and marketing platform.
Outside work, she's a keen mountain biker, skier and dog lover.

Max Thompson
Commercial Director
Max is Lobster’s commercial director heading up our sales and production teams. With construction at the heart of what he does, his career has involved long stints as a site manager, a magazine news editor and a video producer. Max has degrees in English and Construction Management and outside work he enjoys bending and soldering silver into nice things.

Orlando James
Account Manager
Orlando is an exuberant Account Manager at Lobster Pictures, who is focused on working with new clients, showing how Lobster Vision can help to solve challenges for their projects, honing in on his degree in Business and Management.
Outside of work, Orlando loves to travel to new places and surfing and mountain biking on his newly converted e-bike!

Russell Hodgson
Frontend Software Engineer
Russell plays a crucial role in our technical development team, where he works behind the scenes adding new features and updates to make the Lobster Vision online platform the best in the industry.
Russell spends his spare time expanding his DIY skills while renovating his 1930s semi, record collecting or exploring the South West with his young family.
