Certified Quality
The only time-lapse supplier to achieve ISO 9001:2015 accreditation
ISO standards of varying numbers get mentioned a lot, but what does it all mean and, more importantly, as a customer, why does it matter if your supplier is ISO certified or not?
The International Organization for Standardization is an independent, non-governmental international organisation made up of 160 national standards bodies. Experts from these bodies have developed a variety of international standards for a range of industries and activities. These voluntary standards give world-class specifications for products, services and systems, which ensure the highest levels of quality, safety and efficiency.
ISO 9001:2015
ISO 9001:2015 is a standard designed to maintain the quality of products or services. Lobster Pictures was awarded ISO 9001:2015 certified status in 2016, certified by ISOQAR, confirming that we have met the standards of excellence set by the ISO. It is something we are proud of, and work hard to maintain. Gaining certification meant developing our quality management system, which is our way of defining how we can consistently meet our customers' needs through the work that we do. We were conscious from the outset to approach certification practically, using the standard to refine and enhance the services we provide, rather than moulding what we do to tick a box.
The ISO 9001:2015 standard is based on the idea of continual improvement and means that we are constantly striving to improve what we do and how we do it, so that we can provide the highest quality service to our customers. We were conscious from the outset to approach certification practically, making the standard fit with, and enhance, the service we provide, not the other way round.
As a consumer, this certification gives you peace of mind that we are not only consistent in our production and service processes, but are continually working to create a better experience for you. But don’t just take our word for it; to maintain our certification, we are audited annually by an external third party assessor to verify that we continue to meet the required standards.
Mark of Quality
Understandably, your everyday consumer may not typically know what the various ISO certification codes stand for, but now at least you know that the ISO 9001 certification is a mark of quality. It guarantees the company you are purchasing from:
- Puts customer satisfaction at the heart of its business
- Has a set of procedures covering all critical processes in the business
- Monitors processes to ensure they are effective
- Keeps adequate records
- Implements strict quality control, with appropriate corrective action where necessary
- Regularly reviews individual processes and the quality system
- Facilitates a top-down commitment to continual improvement
While not everyone approaches the certification page of a company website knowing what they’re looking for, you can be confident that any company displaying an ISO 9001:2015 certificate on their list of accomplishments is an organisation that is committed to quality, customer satisfaction and is continuously in the pursuit of bettering themselves.
